Rafal Zolkos will give lectures and masterclasses, and will perform a concert at the prestigious Korea National University of Arts (K-Arts) in Seoul, South Korea. The programme will include a performance of the piece ‘Boe’ for solo alto flute by composer Karin Wetzel.

"Sapphische Trümmer" in Basel and Uster
At the turn of September into October 2026, there will be two further performances of ‘Sapphische Trümmer – Songs for Sailors and Lovers’ by composer Karin Wetzel, set to texts by Sappho. Conceived as a tribute to the ancient Greek poet, this interdisciplinary artistic project combines literature and contemporary music to explore the mystery and magnetism of Sappho through the surviving fragments of her texts, metaphorically referred to as ‘ruins’ or ‘remnants’.
